The Goin’ Away (1963) one of the best audio cd in the illustrious career of Lightnin’ Hopkins. So it’s good - 8 from 10. Do you remember Africa Top 150 in 1963? 1963 - year of the Lightnin’ Hopkins North America tour.
I had hoped that I was the first who discover this music disc Goin’ Away. The sound of the album Goin’ Away is realy groovy. Lightnin’ Hopkins Goin’ Away music cd, returns me to the airy harmonies and propulsive. I think that Lightnin’ Hopkins open the main idea of the Goin’ Away in Prison Blues Come Down On Me. This 9:11 (Goin’ Back Home) - one of the good moments in my life. The root of the Lightnin’ Hopkins Goin’ Away are the lyrics. Look at the audio disc image while you listen. This cd compositions are fine!
