Kulanjan very original and looks like Taj Mahal and Toumani Diabate debut album. The Kulanjan (1999) my favorite from Taj Mahal and Toumani Diabate. I think that Taj Mahal and Toumani Diabate open the main idea of the Kulanjan in It Hurts To Love Somebody.
